Community Partners
Every spring, Westlake High School hosts an ASL Family Fun night! Past performances showcased Keith Wann, Clay and Levi Anderson, we are excited to host Peter Cook on April 14th!
We aim to be a bridge between those learning about the Deaf culture and language and the Deaf community. Many students have expressed interest in serving with the Deaf community as interpreters, counselors, teachers, etc. We strive to prepare our students to be linguistically, academically, and culturally capable so they can succeed. By doing so, we hope to earn the trust, respect, and support of the Deaf community so our students can continue their exposure to and confidence in the Deaf world. We work to produce a generation who is informed, articulate, and allies with the Deaf community.
